Colorado Training

Hello from Colorado Springs, CO.

ELDS and I are in Colorado with our triathlon group P2 (http://www.p2.tc/) for a long weekend of training in the hills and altitude. Yesterday we did a 90 minute run in the Garden of the Gods followed by a 2.5 hour ride up Cheyenne Mountain. Ass kicker to say the least. Gorgeous, but not like the flatlands of Minnesota. A good thing given that Ironman Lake Placid is only 9 weeks away and approaching fast.

Marc - looking strong on the Cheyenne ascent

Today has us doing a 3 hour ride in the morning and a 2 hour ride in the afternoon. The morning ride is done and we are getting ready for round two. Both Erin and I have had really strong workouts thus far. Must be that I have turned into a human garbage disposal, constantly stuffing my face. Off to prep for the ride.

I'm sure the prepping part included a nap with a glass of something left behing on the window sill!
